A write-up by the Northern TT organiser - Fingolfin..... Having watched the weather change from warm spring sunshine to the greys and damp that is more common for April I was apprehensive for the coming weekend and the Northern Area TT Ride out and a route that would be best run in dry conditions. The EAH arrived on the Friday evening full of the warm greetings we have shared numerous times in the past, and ready for some food and of course a beer or two or even a barrel supplied by http://www.oldspotbrewery.co.uk/Home_Page.html who always have time for us - thanks Julian. The ride out was due to commence Saturday (am) and upon looking out across the valley I need not have worried the weather was fine and the makings of a great 200+ mile day were on the cards once other members of the forum had been collected from a meeting point, and brought to my abode for a quick debrief and gear stash. We left for our destination The Kirkstone Pass Inn Cumbria 1481 ft above sea level http://www.kirkstonepassinn.com. Taking in such legendary roads on the way that offer speed, thrills and excitement at every twist and turn not to mention scenery that should be seen with ones own eye and not magazines to do it justice. With a short respite at 'Devils Bridge' Kirby Lonsdale on the way. From left to right attendees Chevygirluk, Becks, Ellie, RB900R, Myself (Fingolfin), Johne, Fastdiablo, GaryFrench. We carried on to the main attraction, on relatively traffic free roads. Once a spot of lunch had been consumed we were on our decent back towards Windemere and home for a BBQ and Refreshments which continued into the small hours. Many thanks to those who attended and made it a blast of weekend
